Now an independent MP, Marjana Koçeku appeared at the rally being held outside the Prime Minister’s Office. She was seen accompanied by several people as she listened to citizens’ speeches.
Earlier, she posted a video on social media announcing that she would take part in the protest, praising the resilience of the citizens and young people who have taken to the streets in recent weeks.

“I will join the protest, which today is on its 49th day. The resistance shown by citizens and young people in the streets of the country during these days is so inspiring and so beautiful, and it seems there is no sign of it stopping,” she said.
Koçeku left the Socialist parliamentary group around a month ago, launching criticism of the ruling majority and Prime Minister Edi Rama. Now an independent MP, she has joined the voices calling for the head of government to step down.
