Crime investigation officers at the Korçë Local Police Directorate have arrested 22-year-old Edison Agolli.
According to sources from the investigative team, the young man had been wanted since the day of the incident, as he is suspected of taking part, together with his brother and two other people, in the attempted shooting murder of Brian Syzo.
The 22-year-old has been charged with “premeditated murder committed for gain or revenge, remaining at the attempted stage, committed in collaboration.”
Agolli is also suspected of having installed a security camera near IEVP Drenovë, Drenovë Prison. Through it, he intended to monitor and control all of Brian Syzo’s movements.
Thirty-five-year-old Brian Syzo, who was the target of the assassination attempt and was seriously injured on June 30, has also been arrested.
Syzo’s arrest was carried out after the Court of Appeal upheld the ruling issued by the Pogradec Court in 2023. He was definitively sentenced to three years and four months in prison for the criminal offense of “production and sale of narcotic substances” and must now serve his sentence in custody.
