Taulant Balla, head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, called for changes to the bill during Thursday’s plenary session, proposing the suspension of construction work throughout the tourist season.
He argued that the measure would improve the experience of holidaymakers and ensure a higher standard for the country’s tourism offering.

“In many tourist areas, I have witnessed construction work continuing next to hotels, making it impossible for holidaymakers to rest. For this reason, we have proposed in this bill that construction work be suspended during the tourist season, ensuring a higher quality of tourism offerings in our country,” Balla said, among other things.
