The citizens gathered there are calling for the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on the Special Court in The Hague to be approved in its second reading, and have urged that the protests continue until their demands are met.

Hajdin Daga from Lipjan, who is a pensioner in Switzerland, told KP that he had joined the rally to support the cause, while criticizing recent political developments.

He said he supported this law and that it was the least he could do. According to him, two million Albanians should come out to the square to see that the current prime minister is not allowing it and is declaring himself the “king of the Albanians.” Daga recounted that the previous evening he had cried like a child in front of his wife and children when the agreement between Rrahman Rama and the police commander was reached. He added that he had never imagined there would be a state and patriotic agreement, while emphasizing that our police had been brought by the KLA. Referring to the three letters, he said he had not had the fortune to be in the war, but now he had the fortune to support the law, and that this was all he could do.

Veli Morina from Klina said that the protesters would remain in the square until the Law on the Special Court was approved. According to him, either the law will pass or the government will fall, while they cannot secure the votes. He added that citizens would take to the streets again and that the square was blocked; they would remain there tonight, just as they had been there since the previous evening.

Përparim Berisha from Grabovc said he had come from Germany to take part in the protest. He said he had been in Germany for 33 years and that he had been in the square since the 16th, where he would remain until the issue was resolved. According to him, he was staying in the square for the rights of the KLA and for our liberators, so that they could return freely to our country. Berisha added that this was the least that could be done for them.

Shaban Shabani from the Municipality of Drenica said that the protests were the only way to seek a solution. He emphasized that there was no other solution but protests, since they did not want an agreement. According to him, protests were needed until Kosovo’s liberators were freed.
