During a stop in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in the Federal Republic of Germany, Prime Minister Edi Rama also commented on the protest that has been taking place in Tirana for more than a month.
Speaking at the European innovation and entrepreneurship forum “Ruhr Summit,” Rama said he sees this protest as a significant message for the direction of his government, while adding that as it went on, malicious actors also became involved and, according to him, distorted the gathering.

“I consider it an important message for my governance, and I am trying to listen to it very carefully, not by counting the people, but by trying to understand the concerns. A government that stops listening stops governing. On the same boulevard where flamingos celebrate freedom, we had people who were killed…
What I want to say is that after all this good came evil, business came in, and the protest turned into the arena of malicious actors,” Rama said.
