“History has shown it: violence does not prolong anyone’s time in power,” Neomalsorja attacks Rama: You only have handcuffs, the boot, and the inability to persuade left

Marjana Koceku, the Socialist MP also known as Neomalsorja, has reacted to the police violence used today against protesters in front of Parliament.

She says she followed the situation with concern, while accusing the government of offering violence as its only political message in the absence of convincing arguments. According to her, history shows that no government has prolonged its stay in power by striking citizens.

“I followed with concern today the police violence used against the protesters. I regret that the only communication and political message this government can offer protesters is violence.

When a state runs out of arguments, all it has left are the rubber baton, the handcuffs, and the policeman’s boot. But no government has prolonged its life by striking citizens who are asking to be heard. Take the key dates of history and you will see that we have proven this every time.
