Among the more than 20 protesters detained today after tensions at the rally held outside the Albanian Parliament, where the next criminal hearing was also taking place, is Gent Progni.
In a video recorded from his cell, Progni states that he was assaulted at the moment of his arrest, although, according to him, he was handcuffed and had no opportunity to resist.

“Ulsi Manja’s bodyguards attacked us. Saimir Koka, a Vip Security employee and the owner, kept hitting me nonstop. I had my hands down, we offered no resistance at all. Even when they arrested me and I was in handcuffs, they kicked me from behind. They are accusing us of disturbing public order and damaging public property. Rama to prison, Berisha to prison!” he is heard saying.
