Luka Misetic, the legal counsel for former Kosovo president Hashim Thaçi, announced in a post on X that the Appeals Panel at the Special Court has approved yet another appeal filed by the Prosecution.
According to him, in this process all of the Prosecution’s appeals have been approved, while none of the defense’s appeals have been accepted by the Appeals Panel.

“The Appeals Panel of the Specialist Chambers in the trial of Hashim Thaçi for contempt of court has just approved yet another prosecution appeal. The current score in his two cases still under review: • Prosecution appeals: 3 out of 3 approved (100% success) • Defense appeals: 44 out of 44 rejected (100% failure),” he wrote.
Misetic also said that, after its mandate is completed, the Special Court should undergo an evaluation process, while raising questions about the fairness of this court.
“When the Kosovo Specialist Chambers are subjected to an inevitable assessment after the end of their mandate, judicial fairness will be one of the main topics of debate,” he wrote.
