Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi held a working meeting today with Nicole Varnes, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United States of America, the Parliament’s press service said.
During the discussion, the two sides reaffirmed the excellent relations between the two countries and their stable partnership, built on shared democratic values and close institutional cooperation.

The meeting also addressed the priorities of the parliamentary agenda, as well as current developments in the institutions.
In this regard, the need for the efficient functioning of democratic institutions, strengthening Parliament’s role and advancing reforms for the benefit of citizens was emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Gashi and Varnes confirmed their shared commitment to further deepen the partnership and strategic dialogue, the statement said.
