A Turkish citizen was arrested at Skopje International Airport after allegedly presenting forged documents, official sources from the Ministry of Interior announced.
According to the Ministry of Interior’s announcement, the Department for Cross-Border Crime and Migration in Skopje has filed a criminal complaint against D.M., a 25-year-old Turkish national, for the criminal offense of “document forgery”.

The incident occurred on July 9, 2026, when during the exit procedure from Macedonian territory at the Skopje International Airport border point, the suspect handed over a travel document to the authorities. Verification showed that the entry stamp in that document was forged, the official statement says.
