King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is believed to have been hit by a missile at around 3 p.m. According to a diplomatic source cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP), the missile was launched by Yemen’s Houthi forces.
The incident was followed by an explosion and the evacuation of the airport, while air traffic was suspended.

At the time the report was published, no casualties had been confirmed. Ambulances arrived at the scene after the explosion, according to information made public.
Several airlines, including Kuwait Airways, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways, reportedly canceled several flights to and from Riyadh, the Saudi capital. According to reports, some of the cancellations could continue until Monday.
In a statement, King Khalid International Airport urged passengers to contact their airlines and check the status of their flights before going to the airport.
