On Monday, a tragic incident was recorded in Pogradec, where a roughly 37-year-old pregnant woman lost her life.

The 37-year-old had gone to Pogradec Hospital because of health problems. Following consultations and examinations, doctors decided that she should be transported to Tirana to receive more specialized treatment.
On the way, near Elbasan, the 37-year-old’s condition worsened. According to preliminary information, she had begun vomiting and is suspected to have suffered internal bleeding.
The exact causes and circumstances of her death are expected to be established after the procedural actions and forensic autopsy have been completed.
