To continue the procedures, the victim was transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine. Examinations will be conducted there to determine the age, cause and exact time of death, as well as DNA analysis.
The DNA results are expected to help determine the body’s physical characteristics, including its weight and height. The sample will also be compared with the DNA of relatives of several people who have been reported missing from their homes.
Sources from the Fier police said that the body belonged to a man. No signs of violence were identified during the initial forensic examination.
According to forensic doctors in Fier, the stage of decomposition indicates that the death may have occurred around two months ago. Several missing persons were also reported during this period, while scientific checks to identify the body are continuing.
