The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, reacted sharply to what he described as the unacceptable behavior of socialist ministers and MPs, who according to him left the Parliament premises today while protesters were being “barbarically” beaten to clear the way for officials’ vehicles.
In a video message on social media, Shehaj said that the ministers and MPs must be held accountable for the injustices committed against Albanian citizens, who for more than a month have been demanding the resignation of this government.

According to him, citizens will not stop the protest until its goal is achieved, namely the resignation of the Rama government.
Shehaj said that representatives of the majority must face justice and the citizens for the way in which, according to him, they have robbed them and made life impossible for them in Albania. He stressed that they cannot think that through the police they will stop the protest and continue to hold power, adding that “their end has come” and that the protest will not stop.
In his full reaction, Shehaj declared: “Look at how the ministers and MPs of the majority flee in cars while the police barbarically beat the protesters. This is unacceptable. They must answer for this, they must appear before justice. They must stand before the people and be held accountable for how they have robbed them, how they have made life impossible for them in Albania, and they cannot think that through the police they can stop the protest and continue to remain in power. Your end has come. The protest will not stop, the protesters will continue until they leave.”
