Police publish the names of the 12 officers injured in the protest outside Parliament

During the protest held for several hours on Thursday in front of Parliament, while the plenary session was taking place, 12 police officers were injured as a result of violent clashes with protesters.

In connection with the incidents, police escorted 18 people, who were taken to police stations No. 1 and No. 4.

Police forces used tear gas and water to disperse the crowd after a group of protesters damaged a police vehicle with hard objects.

The officers injured during the protest are: Genajd Shypheja, 32 years old, “Shqiponja” Force; Bashkim Qerana, 59 years old, Police Station No. 2; Arjel Xhexha, 24 years old, Police Station No. 2; Festim Kamberi, 53 years old, group commander at Police Station No. 3; Alma Rexhepaj, 22 years old, Police Station No. 1; Dorjan Mena, 31 years old, Police Station No. 5; Sjedi Peposhi, 57 years old, Police Station No. 5; Daniel Pojani, 20 years old, Police Station No. 3, hand injury; Joan Trungu, section chief at the Shqiponjat; Andi Pelivani, 33 years old, officer with the Shigjetat; Ermal Çeku, 29 years old, officer with the Shigjetat; Elmas Guri, 34 years old, officer of Police Station No. 1.
