The accident that claimed the life of a 20-year-old, while another 20-year-old and a minor were seriously injured, occurred on the Lurë–Rrëshen road, in the village of Kurbnesh, Mirdita, an uninhabited mountainous area.

It is believed that a vehicle traveling along this route spotted the car down in a ravine and alerted the police about the serious accident.
Photos and footage have emerged of the wrecked car that claimed the life of 20-year-old Claudio Ndoj, who was traveling as a passenger. The vehicle’s driver, also 20-year-old Arli Kacorri, and the other passenger, a 15-year-old, were seriously injured.
Firefighters had to intervene to remove the victims from the car and transport them to an ambulance, as well as to tow the vehicle.
Initial suspicions are that excessive speed may have caused the accident. It should be noted that the road where the accident occurred is a segment with sharp bends and steep terrain, with ravines along the roadside.
