Richard Grenell, Trump’s presidential envoy, has reacted to the decision of the Specialist Chambers, calling on Prime Minister Albin Kurti to take swift steps toward dissolving it. According to Grenell, Kurti should also be supported in this initiative by members of the Kosovo Assembly.

Grenell described as shameful the sentence handed down by the Hague court to Hashim Thaçi for a war fought 25 years ago.
He stated that no one is protected from international courts, where, he claimed, academic elites make political decisions. Grenell alleged that the three judges and the American prosecutor are all far-left and that they ignored Bill Clinton’s advisers, who, he said, had made it clear that Thaçi was not directing the war.
According to Grenell, Swiss judge Guénaël Mettraux was in fact the leader, while he disregarded legal matters and chose Jack Smith’s politics instead.
He called for all these courts to stop being funded immediately, while urging the U.S. Department of Justice and Attorney General Todd Blanche to respond without delay. Grenell said that Americans are paying for these political prosecutions and that this must come to an end.
In his response, Grenell also called on Albin Kurti to act quickly to dissolve this foreign court. He urged members of Parliament to work with Kurti to achieve this, emphasizing that Kosovo does not need a court in the Netherlands.
