The ruling party, OBRM-PDUKM, has leveled strong accusations against the LSDM and its leader, Venko Filipçe, describing them as deliberate spreaders of panic on social media with false claims about Skopje’s water.

According to them, these actions come at a time when the opposition is failing to offer any alternative or political solution and is trying to undermine citizens’ sense of security with claims that have already been dismissed by the relevant authorities.
“While Venko Filipçe and Zoran Zaev are enjoying their holidays on the Aegean coast, they have chosen to engage in politics by spreading lies and instilling fear in the people,” the official OBRM-PDUKM statement says.
The governing party considers the spread of information claiming that the water in Skopje is not drinkable to be unacceptable, emphasizing that the competent institutions have responded and dismissed these speculations based on official figures and facts.
OBRM-PDUKM also announces that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already launched an investigation to identify the source of these claims and to hold accountable the people behind their spread.
“Filipçe and the LSDM have no right to mock public trust, nor citizens’ safety, and even less their health. Even political clashes have their limits, and we call on the LSDM to present vision, solutions and a sense of responsibility instead of what we call ‘deception and intimidation’,” concludes the ruling party’s statement.
