Over the past two days, four wildfires in Has and Tropojë have been brought under control. The situation was contained following the efforts of firefighters, the relevant authorities and residents of the affected areas.

The Civil Emergencies Directorate announced that, in Has, the flames were detected in forests and pastures near the village of Perollaj, part of the Golaj Administrative Unit, as well as in the village of Cahan in the Krumë Administrative Unit.
In Tropojë, the fires were recorded in the village of Dushaj, located in the Fierzë Administrative Unit, as well as in Sopot, in the Tropojë e Vjetër Administrative Unit.
Although the rugged mountainous terrain made the operation more difficult, the teams involved managed to contain the fires and prevent the flames from advancing further.
The fires burned shrubs and waste, but no damage to forested areas or vegetation was reported.
The emergency services’ immediate response prevented the flames from spreading and endangering other areas.
Due to the high temperatures and increased fire risk, the municipalities of Has and Tropojë have urged residents to exercise maximum caution and avoid any action that could cause a fire.
Meanwhile, firefighters from Kukës Municipality have joined the other teams involved in tackling and containing the fire in Lurë. Fire Service personnel have transported water to the site, supporting the operation against the flames in this difficult terrain.
Additional equipment and resources have also been deployed to strengthen the response in Lurë, with the aim of containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to other areas.
