The Collective for Feminist Thought and Action is calling for the case to be fully clarified and for those responsible for the brutal murder in Vitomirica, Peja, to be held accountable.

In its statement, the collective emphasized that Sunday will mark seven days since the killing of Arlinda Zekaj, while the protests have continued for five days.

“On Sunday, it will be seven days since Arlinda Zekaj was killed and five days since we have been out in the streets demanding justice for her and for every woman who has been killed. Five days in which we have insistently demanded safety and freedom for every woman who is alive. Our demands are clear, but the state continues to refuse to listen to us,” the statement said.

The organizers have said that the protests will continue until the institutions which, according to them, failed in the case of Arlinda Zekaj take responsibility.

“We will not retreat, and every day that dawns will find us in the squares and outside the institutions that failed Arlinda and continue to fail every girl and woman in Kosovo. This Sunday, do not stay at home; come out and join the protest. Let us fulfill Arlinda’s final wish,” the statement continued.
