Acting Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Armend Muja, held an official meeting in Vienna with his Austrian counterpart, Norbert Totschnig, Federal Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Climate and Water Management. During the talks, emphasis was placed on strengthening bilateral cooperation and deepening reforms in the agricultural sector.

Another important point of discussion was Kosovo’s European integration process and the necessity for agricultural policies to fully align with European Union standards.
The meeting also saw an exchange of experiences on strengthening the official food control system, building mechanisms for early warning and hail protection, the digitalization process in agriculture, as well as expanding cooperation between agricultural institutes and research centers of both countries.
Appreciating Austria’s continued support, Muja expressed confidence that this partnership will contribute to modernizing the agricultural sector, increasing competitiveness, and accelerating alignment with EU standards. Also discussed were opportunities for deepening institutional cooperation through the exchange of experts, civil servants, researchers, and students, with the aim of building professional capacities and transferring knowledge.
