Vetëvendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti went to the Assembly together with acting Finance Minister Hekuran Murati to meet LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku, deputy leader Lutfi Haziri, and Vjosa Osmani.

During the meeting, Kurti also raised the issue of electing the president, stressing that this responsibility does not rest solely with the majority, but also includes the opposition.
“You all know very well that responsibility for electing the president does not lie solely with the majority, but also with the opposition, because the constitutional framework is such that it views the president as an expression of the unity of the people, requiring the opposition and the government to come together,” Kurti said.
This is the second time Kurti and Abdixhiku have held a meeting, while the PDK and the Alliance have declined invitations to meet with the VV leader.
