The Tirana Court has announced the verdict for two former officials of the Police Oversight Agency, Artjol Saliasi and Gëzim Sala, who are accused of abuse of office.

The judges have sentenced both former officials to 9 months in prison, but due to the shortened trial, the sentence was reduced by 1/3, ultimately converted to 6 months of imprisonment.
However, the court has suspended the prison sentence and converted it into 1 year of probation.
The two former AMP officials were investigated on suspicion that they had not complied with the law during the hiring procedure of Muçi Shaljani into this agency, who lost his life a few days after the attack that occurred in November of last year in Rinas.
In that serious event, Gilmando Dani also lost his life, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances of the attack.
