The Ministry of Defense has provided details regarding the fire situation in the country, which appears to be highly problematic in several areas.
The Ministry of Defense said that during today there were 16 active fire hotspots across the country, 5 of which remain active. Although they have been brought under control, work is continuing to fully extinguish the flames.

For the extinguishing of the 5 hotspots, 261 operational forces, 40 fire engines, 2 helicopters, 30 personnel and 2 fire engines from the Armed Forces were engaged, as well as forces from the State Police, the National Security Force, the Forest Service, local civil emergency structures and health services.

Under the coordination of the National Civil Protection Agency, operations were managed today to deal with 16 fire hotspots in several counties across the country. The five hotspots that remain active have been brought under control, while operational structures are working on their final extinguishing.
In the operations carried out in Hajdaraj/Synej (Kavajë), Drizë–Peshtan (Fier), Tale (Lezhë), Ulën (Elbasan), Divjakë and other hotspots, 261 operational forces, 40 fire engines, 2 helicopters, 30 personnel and 2 fire engines from the Armed Forces were engaged, as well as forces from the State Police, the National Security Force, the Forest Service, local civil emergency structures and health services.
Special thanks go to the pilots and helicopter crews of the Armed Forces, as well as to Armed Forces personnel who supported the operations from the ground, intervening in difficult conditions and making an important contribution to managing the situation.
Appreciation also goes to the firefighters of the municipalities of Fier, Kavajë, Lezhë, Kurbin, Elbasan, Divjakë, Rrogozhinë, Lushnjë, Durrës and Kamëz, who, in cooperation with all other operational structures, acted with professionalism, dedication and readiness to protect life, property and the environment.
