The serious incident was reported following gunfire, in which two people lost their lives and several others were injured.
The suspect turned himself in to the police, authorities confirmed.
Police spokesperson Hashani said that a man around 30 years old was found dead inside a vehicle, having allegedly been shot with a firearm.
A woman around 30 years old was taken to Gjilan General Hospital with no signs of life.
According to the police, the woman is also suspected of having been shot by the same person.
Another person was injured in the shooting. After receiving first aid at the Emergency Department of Gjilan General Hospital, he was transferred to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo for further treatment.
Investigators suspect that the victims and the suspect are related, while the circumstances that led to the incident remain unclear.
Hashani said that, based on the initial information, there is a family relationship between the suspect and the victims, but the motive for the crime has not yet been determined.
