The session is expected to address two important political developments: the election of Kosovo’s new president and the vote, in the second reading, on amendments to the Law on Specialist Chambers.
During the day, the Democratic Party of Kosovo expressed its support for the proposal that Justina Shiroka-Pula become a candidate for president, paving the way for the voting process to proceed in the Assembly.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti had proposed that the bill amending the Law on the Specialist Chambers be voted on first, followed by Shiroka-Pula’s candidacy for president.
One day earlier, the Assembly had approved, in the first reading, the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on Specialist Chambers. The initiative received 91 votes in favor, while there were no votes against and no abstentions.
