A parent at kindergarten no. 2 in Korçë is calling for a full investigation to determine what caused the children’s poisoning symptoms.

He says food service at the kindergarten began on Thursday, while his son developed poisoning symptoms on Friday evening. The parent suspects that the kitchen utensils may have been unwashed or unsuitable for use after being left unused for a long period.
According to him, the kindergarten was disinfected at the beginning of September. However, the utensils had not been used until a few days ago, as food service had not started due to the lack of a tender, reports journalist Lorena Kodra.
Parents are calling for the hygiene and sanitary conditions, the food consumed by the children and the kitchen utensils to be inspected in order to determine the cause of the symptoms.
The institution where the children were poisoned was previously known as kindergarten 17, while it is now called kindergarten no. 2.
