VLEN has announced that the railway companies of North Macedonia and Kosovo are working to launch a direct railway line between Skopje and Prishtina during the coming year. According to their plans, the journey between the two capitals will take around 50 minutes.

The project would provide citizens with a new transport alternative and shorten travel times for those commuting for work, studying or family visits. Meanwhile, the connection between North Macedonia and Kosovo is also advancing through the strategic Skopje–Blace highway project.
Completion of the highway segment is expected to improve traffic toward Prishtina and the transportation of goods by connecting this route with the highway on the territory of Kosovo.
VLEN considers both projects particularly important, as citizens and businesses on both sides of the border have daily contacts and have long been calling for faster and easier travel. The party says its commitment in government is to accelerate the implementation of the projects in order to facilitate travel for citizens and the transportation of goods for businesses.
According to VLEN, the construction of the Skopje–Blace highway and the creation of the direct railway line will bring Skopje and Prishtina even closer in everyday life./Telegrafi/
