Artificial intelligence is already part of the present and is no longer a technology belonging only to the future. According to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, the key issue is determining the role Macedonia will play in this transformation.

Speaking at the “Startup Revolution AI Summit” in Skopje, Mickoski said the country should not follow the technological revolution merely as an observer, but should contribute directly to it.
“We are no longer talking about artificial intelligence as a technology of the future, whose impact we will see one day. It is already a technology of the present and is changing the way we work, learn, communicate, produce, heal, research and create companies. Therefore, the question is not whether our economies and societies will be transformed, because this process has already begun. The question is what position we will take in this change,” he said.
The prime minister called on entrepreneurs and company executives not to limit their vision by the size of the domestic market.
“Macedonia must be an active part of the new technological revolution. In a knowledge-based economy, the importance of geography diminishes, while talent, education, speed, creativity and the ability to turn an idea into a product carry greater weight than the size of the territory or the number of inhabitants. Our goal should be for ideas, products and companies created in Macedonia to expand and compete in European and global markets,” Mickoski stressed.
He advised citizens to build Macedonia with a global perspective and not allow fear of failure to overcome the desire to create something new.
