CNN reporters were also denied the opportunity to be near the site where Xi Jinping arrived for the evening event, a journalist from the network said.
Earlier, the White House had excluded two CNN journalists from covering the arrival after they sought clarification about the criteria and categories of journalists who would be allowed to cover the ceremony.
Unlike these two networks, journalists and producers from several other television networks were authorized to cover Xi Jinping’s arrival and the moment he was greeted at the White House.
