Democrats gathered today to choose the new Presidency of the Democratic Party, after the National Council had been elected earlier.
Until now, Edi Paloka headed the National Council, but he decided not to run again for the post. Meanwhile, DP leader Sali Berisha announced that it has been decided that this forum will be led by a woman.

For the leadership of the National Council, members will vote between Julia Emiri and Silva Hasa.
Meanwhile, the new Presidency will be determined through a voting process with three lists: female candidates, youth candidates, and male candidates.
On the list of male candidates, the participation of 6 MPs, 4 former MPs, the mayor of Kavaja, Fisnik Qosja, as well as Alfred Lela and Dorjan Teliti, stands out.
According to the DP’s instruction, 6 women will be chosen from 15 candidates, 6 young people from 25 candidates, and 8 men from 21 candidates.
For members of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Albania, where 6 will be elected, the following have been proposed:
-Adriana Tolka-Alketa Mukadelati-Armanda Zeqiri-Denisa Kele-Eda Grimçi-Edith Harxhi-Eleina Qirici-Enkelejda Sallaku-Fatmira Kola-Floriana Garo-Ilda Zhulali-Ilirjana Kuçana-Lili Sulaj-Mimoza Hajdarmataj-Mirela Tabaku.
