Unknown object explodes at Augsburg central station, two people lightly injured

Two people were lightly injured after an unidentified object exploded at the main railway station in Augsburg, southern Germany, police said.

According to Bavarian state police, the incident occurred in the corridor of a building. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene immediately and closed the roads in the area around the station.

The city of Augsburg is located about 55 kilometers from Munich.
