Speaking before world leaders, Trump declared that bringing peace to these troubled regions represented a “great honor” for his administration. He stressed that the leaders of the countries concerned had directly praised Washington’s efforts.
Among the cases in which his diplomacy, according to the White House chief, prevented escalation and brought stability was the Serbia-Kosovo confrontation. In this way, he placed the Western Balkans alongside several other major crises around the world.
Trump said that his involvement in these matters had made an impression on the leaders involved.
“Almost every one of these countries wrote me a letter of thanks,” Trump said at the UN.
The U.S. president added that the prime minister of Pakistan had personally told him that his diplomatic intervention in that region had saved more than 30 million lives.
The list of conflicts that Trump claims to have resolved during his term includes:
Serbia – Kosovo
Israel – Hamas
Israel – Iran
Egypt – Ethiopia
India – Pakistan
Rwanda – Congo
Armenia – Azerbaijan
Cambodia – Thailand
