Three people from Skopje, Z.B. (61), M.B. (35) and B. (43), were detained during a police operation at two locations. The operation, called “Cleaner”, was carried out by officers from the Criminal Police Department, specifically the Sector for General and Violent Crime and Domestic Violence, in cooperation with the Shtip Department of Internal Affairs – Delchevo Police Station and the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs.

The investigation is linked to a case opened by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Delchevo concerning the criminal offences of “blackmail” and “endangering safety”, as defined in Article 259 and Article 144, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code. According to the report, several people from Skopje threatened a resident of Delchevo that they would endanger his life and limbs, demanding 10,000 euros from him. If he did not pay, they threatened to publish compromising material.
During the searches, an illegal M57 pistol with a calibre of 7.62 mm was found. Following checks, it was established that the weapon originated from an aggravated theft committed in the area covered by the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs. The Tetovo Department of Internal Affairs announced that, once the case has been fully documented, the relevant criminal charges will be filed.
