This Monday, the civic protest against the government is entering its 93rd consecutive day, continuing a mobilization that has now lasted more than three months without interruption.

Citizens are expected to gather once again in Tirana, following the same pattern as in recent days: assembling in Skanderbeg Square and marching along “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard toward the Prime Minister’s Office.
At the center of the protest remains the demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government’s departure.
For 92 days, protesters have continued holding daily rallies, declaring that they will not back down until their demands are met.
Alongside Rama’s departure and that of the government cabinet, the platform articulated during the protests also includes the establishment of a transitional government and a change to the political system.
The 92nd protest, held the previous day, was also characterized by a march, chants against the government and speeches in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Citizens first gathered in Skanderbeg Square and then headed toward the government building, carrying banners and whistles and chanting for Edi Rama’s resignation. During the march, the call “Arrest Balluku” was also heard.
Speaking from the platform in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, activist Sidorela Vatnikaj declared that the protest would not stop until Rama and his government were removed.
She also emphasized opposition to the old political system, declaring that protesters no longer wanted to choose between “two autocratic leaders,” but were demanding a new Albania.
Among the speakers was activist Arben Kola, who leveled strong accusations against the ruling majority and said that citizens had gathered to tell the government to “get lost.” He focused in particular on the situation in Kukës, accusing those in power of depopulating and neglecting the area.
A mother who had returned from emigration also spoke at the protest, saying that she had come back to Albania because, in her words, “the homeland is in danger.”
She called on parents to join the young people in the protest, while claiming that eggs had been thrown from above at protesters during the march toward the Prime Minister’s Office.
Another protester declared that the government was, in her view, showing signs of fear and that after 92 days, citizens could no longer be deceived by what she described as the government’s “facade.”
