Tensions and Clashes Outside Parliament, 23 People Detained by Police

The number of people detained by police following today’s protest outside Parliament has reached 23.

During the rally, tensions escalated and clashes broke out between protesters and law enforcement officers.

To disperse the crowd, officers used tear gas and pepper spray. According to reports, journalists and camera operators covering the events at close range were also affected by the police intervention.

A high-pressure water jet was also directed at News24’s camera.
