Himara Municipality has joined Vlora Municipality in issuing a public warning about the forecast deterioration in weather conditions on Friday.

Citing the latest meteorological data, the local authorities’ notice states that the Himara area will experience unstable weather conditions, with rain, thunderstorms and powerful localized storms expected. These phenomena may reach high intensity over a short period.
In its statement, the municipality urged all residents, businesses and holidaymakers to exercise extreme caution. They are advised to limit all non-essential travel during the peak of the severe weather and to avoid staying near streams, areas at risk of flooding and tall trees.
Civil Protection units at Himara Municipality have announced that they will remain on standby to monitor the situation and will keep the public informed of any new developments.
