The discussion focused on the political situation in both countries and the region, common challenges, as well as other issues of national importance and concern to the citizens of both countries.
During the meeting, Sela emphasized that the establishment of institutions is vital for the continuation of the important processes awaiting Kosovo, both domestically and on its path toward integration. In this context, he welcomed and encouraged dialogue with the opposition, as well as the political and state-building maturity of the political parties.
The political situation in North Macedonia was also part of the discussion between the head of the Albanian League and Prime Minister Kurti. Sela presented concerns regarding efforts to undermine even the limited collective rights enjoyed by Albanians in North Macedonia, including the case of the Law on Fair and Adequate Representation.
Sela also inquired about the progress of infrastructure projects, including the Skopje-Blace road and the Tetovo-Prizren road.
The parties considered the European integration process extremely important for the future of our countries, defining it as the only path with no alternative. They also assessed that mutual cooperation would help facilitate and accelerate this process./INA/
