The opposition SDSM has reacted strongly against its former leader, Branko Crvenkovski.
In a statement, the party leadership criticized its opponents, including Crvenkovski, whom it described as a “mummy” and a “balsamed face.”

According to SDSM, its former leader has been doing business with VMRO-DPMNE for years and played a role in the formation of the ZNAM party.
“A man who has been doing business with VMRO-DPMNE for years, a man who helped create ZNAM, the first version. Mickoski financed it,” the part of the statement referring to Crvenkovski says.
The statement continues with a reference to his past, contrasting the fact that he was once SDSM’s first leader with the fact that he is now being referred to as a “mummy.”
“And now they are taking Branko Crvenkovski out of the closet. Is this what Mickoski means when he says they are bringing out ‘bones from the past’? Enough with the bones from the closet, with those mummies and embalmed faces who did everything to extinguish SDSM,” the party statement continues.
