The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) announced that during 2025, revenue from environmental taxes reached 422.4 million euros, marking an increase of 11.8 percent compared with 2024.
According to ASK, the main source of this revenue remains energy taxes (excise duties). During 2025, revenue from this category increased by 12 percent compared with a year earlier.

At the same time, the highest increase was recorded in revenue from pollution taxes, at 35.3 percent, while revenue from transport taxes rose by 9.6 percent.
The overall revenue structure shows that energy taxes generated 365.3 million euros, or 86.5 percent of the total. They were followed by transport taxes with 54 million euros, or 12.8 percent, while pollution taxes reached 3.15 million euros, accounting for 0.7 percent of total revenue from environmental taxes.
ASK also announced that the share of revenue from environmental taxes in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during 2025 was 3.83 percent.
