The Kosovo Security Force has once again been ranked as the institution enjoying the highest level of trust in the country, according to the results of the WeBalkans 2026 Regional Survey, prompting a reaction from acting Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci.
The survey data show that 87.4 percent of citizens trust the KSF, allowing it to retain this year as well its position as the most trusted institution in the Republic of Kosovo.

Maqedonci described the result as recognition of the commitment, professionalism and dedication of KSF members, while expressing gratitude to citizens for the trust they have shown, KosovaPress reports.
“This trust is the strongest proof that continued investments in the development of defense capacities, the professionalism of personnel and the building of a modern force are yielding results,” the statement said.
He underlined that this success belongs to all KSF members, including soldiers, non-commissioned officers, officers and civilian personnel. He also highlighted the contribution of KSF Commander Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, as well as the General Staff, for the professional leadership of the force.
According to Maqedonci, the Ministry of Defense will continue to support the process of transforming and modernizing the KSF, in line with NATO standards and Kosovo’s strategic objectives.
He stressed that citizens’ trust is both an honor and a responsibility, adding that the defense institutions will continue their efforts to strengthen defense capacities, increase operational readiness and deepen cooperation with allies.
“The Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force will continue to work with dedication for a safer, better protected Kosovo that is ever more ready to fulfill its mission and its strategic aspiration for NATO membership,” the statement concludes.
