The Central Bank of Kosovo reports that remittances increased by 5.7 percent compared with the same period in 2025.
Germany remains the country contributing the most to these transfers, accounting for 38.2 percent of the total, OEK reports, according to KosovaPress.
Switzerland ranks second with 20.4 percent, while 6.4 percent of remittances come from the United States of America.
From 2008 to 2025, the total amount of diaspora transfers reached 15.2 billion euros.
Remittances continue to be an important factor for Kosovo’s economy. Over the past decade, they have accounted for around 12 to 14 percent of gross domestic product.
