Prime Minister Edi Rama has published a video from the Benja Thermal Baths and accompanied it with a reaction regarding the protests that are continuing in Tirana.
According to him, the footage was recorded last night at the Benja Thermal Baths in Përmet, where a previously announced social-cultural activity is also expected to continue tonight as part of the Përmet festivities.

Rama writes that this place represents the reality of a tourist destination which, over the past two days, according to him, has been targeted by a digital hysteria from those he describes as the real organizers of the protest. He describes them as extremists calling for “a bullet for the traitors,” who are paid to lead the crowd toward the chant “jail for the traitors,” and who, together with the invisible hands of Albania’s enemies and the opponents of its progress, attack through the algorithm anyone who does not like or questions the “new Albania” from their point of view.
He stresses that, unlike Zvërnec, where according to him there is still no project capable of confronting with the force of reality those who spread darkness, the Benja Thermal Baths are an example of the Urban Renaissance. According to Rama, this transformation stands openly against the images shared on social media, where, with claims of concrete overdevelopment and the drying up of the waters due to corruption, there has been an attempt to revive the weary boulevard protest through the same digital engineering that, according to him, was also used for Zvërnec.
The prime minister says that the world has entered a time when the sources of communication and information, whether scientific, official or journalistic, unlike the period when every piece of news was checked by two sources, now flow through the same channels as what he describes as the sewage of hatred, envy, resentment, lies and ignorance. According to him, the latter benefit from the dizzying speed given to them by the algorithm and from the ease with which they are absorbed by man turned into its slave.
Rama then sets two opposing images of Benja against each other. On the one hand, according to him, stands “Benja laid waste by thieves and traitors,” a malicious creation of those who for nearly a month have wanted to turn Albania upside down, exploiting the feelings, troubles and clear conscience of many citizens who have a reason to protest. On the other hand, he presents “Reborn Benja,” which he attributes to the vision, work and passion of his government for an Albania that, according to him, is incomparable to what it was when this path began. According to Rama, these two images speak clearly to anyone who wants to see, hear and understand.
He adds that this is not a battle between the protesters and the government, nor between him and the organizers or financiers of this “revolution.” For Rama, this is a clash between Albania 2030 in the European Union, with all its difficulties, work, mistakes, corrections and real results, and a “new Albania” of failures, whom he compares to ravens and crows gathered from all sides of life’s roads around the television square of the protest. According to him, they poison and prey upon every protester and every honest Albanian who has been driven to the boulevard by a genuine hardship or concern, or who remains tied to the protest because of the need for that problem to be solved and that concern to be addressed honestly.
At the end of his reaction, Rama writes that everyone can choose the mirror they want, while adding that anyone who wants to see how darkness attacks can read below the countless comments from fake profiles, which according to him are directed by the same dirty hands.
