A protest against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama outside the Ministry of Education escalated with two rubbish bins being set on fire after protesters had gathered on Durrës Street for dozens of minutes.
The protest near the Ministry of Education was accompanied by verbal clashes between participants in the demonstration called by students and those called by the Democratic Party, including the party’s MPs.

The latter faced demands from some protesters to leave the rally and for the establishment to distance itself from the non-partisan protest against the government.
