During his speech, Niko Peleshi stated that the Ombudsman is one of the institutions that the Constitution obliges to report to parliament. He called on the opposition not to be the cause of blocking this constitutional obligation. “Impose yourselves through the law, not by force. If you don’t recognize it outside the chamber, here respect the rules,” he emphasized. Peleshi added that the purpose of being in the Assembly is a clash of ideas, not physical confrontation, and that discussions should focus on the report. He warned that he will not allow the agenda to be imposed as long as he is chairing the session. “I am not an educator,” he concluded.
