Public Administration Minister Goran Minchev said that the Academy for Professional Development and Training of Administrative Civil Servants represents not merely a new institution, but an element of a broader vision for building a modern, efficient and professional public administration.
This message was conveyed at the roundtable held today on the topic “Future Challenges in the Establishment and Successful Functioning of the Academy for the Professional Development of Administrative Civil Servants,” where the results of activities carried out so far were presented, as well as the proposed models for organizing the Academy and preparing training programs.

According to Minchev, following the adoption of the Law on Professional Development and Training of Administrative Civil Servants, the Ministry of Public Administration has moved into a new stage, which entails creating all the necessary conditions for the Academy to begin operating as the central institution for the professional development of administrative civil servants.
During his address, he highlighted the support of the French Embassy and French institutions, stressing that the sharing of experience and best practices constitutes important assistance in building a modern and sustainable training system in public administration.
“Our goal is for the full implementation of the Law to begin next year and for the Academy to become a central place where administrative officials will improve their knowledge, skills and competencies. I am convinced that we will create an institution that will be an example of professionalism, quality and sustainability,” he stressed.
According to the statement, the Academy for Administrative Officials represents one of the most important pillars of public administration reform, as a space where knowledge will be transformed into better institutions and where better institutions will bring higher-quality services for citizens.
