Routine checks carried out on August 10 and 11, 2026, by officers from all departments of internal affairs on roads across the country resulted in 1,322 fines being issued. Of these, 400 were imposed on drivers who exceeded the speed limit.

Police detained 32 people for reckless driving. This number includes three people who drove under the influence of alcohol, 15 who drove without a license, and one who had previously been banned from driving.
During the same period, 13 vehicles were seized pursuant to Article 300-b of the Criminal Code.
Statistical data on police activity also show that 302 cases of illegal parking were recorded over these two days, while 16 drivers were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Under the provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law, penalties were also imposed on 106 motorcyclists who were not wearing protective helmets. A further 67 road users were penalized for failing to wear seat belts.
