He said that the Vetëvendosje Movement would support Vlora Çitaku as soon as the Democratic Party of Kosovo nominates her for the post of second deputy speaker of the Assembly.
“It is good that the Assembly has been constituted. The position of second deputy speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo belongs to the Democratic Party of Kosovo and, when they are ready to nominate Ms. Vlora Çitaku, we will vote for her immediately. I congratulate everyone on the constitution of the Assembly. Around three months after the early elections of February 14, the Assembly was constituted for the eighth legislature. Meanwhile, last year it took eight months from the holding of the elections to the constitution of the Assembly. This time, the period was reduced from eight to three months. Of course, it would have been better for the process to conclude even earlier, but in any case this is an achievement that must now be followed by the formation of the government,” Kurti said.
