One of the main topics was the electronic exchange of data between the customs and border authorities of the countries in the region and the European Union through the SEED+ system. The possibility of including Kosovo’s trusted services in the European list of trusted services from third countries was also discussed, along with policies and the regulatory framework for e-commerce.
Jagxhiu said in a Facebook post that the meeting also addressed recent developments in Kosovo, including the ratification of the agreement for the Trade and Transport Facilitation in the Western Balkans project (TTFP 2.0), financed by the World Bank.
The project envisages the creation of a National Single Window and the implementation of the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS). According to Jagxhiu, these mechanisms will help digitalize and simplify trade and customs procedures, while also increasing interoperability with regional and European systems.
The minister emphasized that cooperation in these areas is important for facilitating trade, reducing the administrative burden on businesses and building a more integrated regional market, in alignment with the EU Single Market.
He stated that efforts would continue to advance these processes, strengthen regional cooperation and further align Kosovo with European standards and practices in the field of digital transformation.
