Astrit Iseni, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs from the VLEN coalition, has responded to accusations made by former DUI MP Arbër Ademi. Ademi claimed that the police officer who demonstratively removed the Albanian flag in Kumanovo years ago had been promoted, while his two sons had been employed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In his public response, Iseni dismissed these claims as false and insisted that the police officer in question had not been promoted.

Addressing Ademi, he said the former MP, whom he called “the party’s favorite,” had enjoyed the privileges of power for years without daring to address the real problems facing Albanians, while now, according to Iseni, he had turned lying into his only form of opposition activity.
The deputy minister categorically reiterated that Ademi’s main claim was unfounded, stating: “The police officer Arbër Ademi is referring to has not been promoted. Period.”
According to Iseni, the opposition is resorting to manipulation because it has no political alternative to offer citizens. He added that Albanians are not naive and that everyone in Kumanovo knows one another, meaning citizens know the truth very well. In conclusion, Iseni stressed that a lie does not become the truth even if it is repeated a hundred times.
